We go to considerable lengths to ensure our consumers can buy the right brand, in the right format, at the right price for their specific occasion because, to a large degree, the sustainbaility of our business is dependent on our ability to know, understand and be able to satisfy the needs of our consumers.
At the heart of our mission is our commitment to create and champion the most adored brands in beer, fine wine, RTDs and spirits. We do this by providing quality and freshness, understanding and anticipating the needs of the consumer, investing in our brands, innovating with new products and on existing brands, and, of course, inspiring sociability and enjoyment.
Central to our consumer promise is our commitment to making available products that are of the highest possible quality, safety and purity.
This process begins at procurement, working with the best possible raw materials, and extends throughout the manufacturing process at our well-maintained breweries and wineries. We also work with partners that we know will do everything possible to make certain that a Lion Nathan product is received in the very same condition in which it left us.
People who take the time and effort to advise us that a product has not met their expectations are invaluable in terms of the feedback they provide. Rapid and effective response to their concerns is key to ensuring ongoing relationships and continuous improvement of our products and processes. That’s why there’s a free call consumer information number printed on all our packaging.
In the unlikely event that a contamination of some type affects any of our products, we will recall and destroy products and compensate consumers accordingly.
On another level, we take a lot of care to ensure that the marketing of our products is responsible and in line with community expectations.
The Advertising Standards Board (ASB) is charged with dealing with complaints that are common to all advertising. Through the Alcohol Beverages Advertising Code (ABAC) system, Lion Nathan funds an independent complaints panel to look at those complaints that relate to factors unique to alcohol advertising.
Any complaint regarding our marketing activities made to Lion Nathan or one of our breweries directly is forwarded to the Corporate Affairs team in Sydney who are responsible for responding in a timely manner.
Another key component of our commitment to our consumers is ensuring that we do not engage in marketplace activity that could result in increased levels of misuse. Because our commitment in this area is based on the same beliefs and insights as our community investment activities, you can read more about our efforts in Communities.
